Great financial incentives now available for First Home Buyers

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

From 1st September 2008,  the Queensland Government  has introduced significant changes to Stamp Duty to encourage First Home Buyers to enter the Real Estate market.

First Home Buyers will now pay no Stamp Duty on their first home purchased for up to $500,000 ( a saving of $8,750).
Concessional Stamp Duty on a sliding scale is available on vacant land (up to a sale price of $300,000)  purchased by First Home Buyers to build their first home (within two years and subject to certain conditions).
Mortgage Duty for First Home Buyers was abolished on 1st July 2008.
In addition, First Home Buyers are eligible for the First Home Buyers Grant of $7,000.

What do the Stamp Duty concessions for First Home Buyers mean to you as a property owner?  Buyers now have greater motivation to start looking for a home to buy. Maybe your home could interest them?
